The return of Thriving Thursday ,A Vibe that keeps us alive: Grateful

Today was Thriving Thursday. .. The day that many of us who had attended since last year was so eagerly waiting for. World Pulse started TT in April 2020 as a response to the Global pandemic and an unprecedented rising humanitarian crisis. Every single one of us needed weekly calls for training and sharing our experiences, our success stories… So block every second Thursday of the month.  We were looking for a means to cope in a newly changed restrictive world that every one of us were fighting to come out of… And it grew our bonding more and kept us alive through the stress and the trauma of deaths and sickness and all the struggles that every one of us were facing being confined to our homes.  This day was no different that any other… The agenda was clearly outlined and we stuck to the time limit   We learnt that Lilian Dibo Eyong has just been awarded with The  Most Dynamic CEO with Disability for 2021 …We learnt of Arrey Echi being named Winner of Deaf Women Breaking Barriers 2021 initiative… Do you understand and recognize a pattern? Yes, We at World Pulse are amplifying the leadership of women with disabilities. # DisabilityJustice As with all WP Meetings we all were asked to speak on a topic. This time it was one thing that we were grateful for. Every single one of a sister in the call, had a compelling story to tell. What stood out is how across continents and different time zones we could connect and empathize with each other. The focal point of the meeting is this collective voice resonating as each sister spoke… The World Pulse Global Impact gave us an insight of how 589 members of our community from 72 countries had  shared  the ways they have used World Pulse to impact themselves and others… In 2022 World Pulse is soon going to redefine our whole storytelling experience. ..Look forward and excited about more.

The New mode of Thriving Thursday gave us an opportunity to choose our breakout rooms, and the topics we were urgently needing a tutorial on.. To transform our lives through a wonderful community college that World Pulse offers. ( my interpretation, but that is the depth of the learning we get).. Just remember there is a leadership role right there for you, where you can raise your voice, share resources, encourage other and create an impact. If you are new to the whole zoom room experience you were guided fully on how to join the breakout rooms through mobile or laptop, so finally we had  only an eagerness to join in. Today We had three incredible trainers: Kristine Yakhana : who spoke on leadership  Ruthebelle: Who taught us Elements of compelling story telling  Manasa Ram Raj: Who trained us on the usage of the impact dash board, how to optimize it. I was drawn towards Storytelling and learnt so many little things that I have been missing out and it seemed a half an hour was very less for me to put my new learning to practice ,so here I am practicing my new storytelling skills by writing today. Some sisters like Veronica Ngudi were able to join in two parallel training sessions...

We had some incredible polls too, you have to join in on next Thursday to be able to take one. And finally my incredible thanks to Kay Link for diligently transcribing the whole session not only for our Hard of Hearing Sisters but also for those of us who had a bad signal and were struggling to know and hear where we are at.

Finally we all realized that World Pulse Thriving Thursday is a compulsion for us as simple as resting before we face the storm. Where we all gather together to build up our strength, equip ourselves with knowledge and exchange our thoughts in an incredible safe place, with no fear of being silenced or rebuked. We all are heard, we all are held up… So do not miss out on the next Thriving Thursday , see you all there.
