Title: Faith That Pleases God – Seeking the Word, Not Just the Man of God

Introduction

Many are running from one prophet to another, one church to the next, in search of breakthroughs. Yet the truth is simple and deeply rooted in the Word: God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). The transformation we seek does not begin with men—it begins with faith and a heart that truly believes in God's Word.

---

1. Without Faith, We Miss God Entirely

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) – "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Faith isn’t optional—it’s the foundation. We must believe God is real, and that He responds to those who earnestly seek Him. Yet many believers are more faithful to the men of God than to the God of men.

---

2. The Power Is in the Word, Not in a Man

John 1:1-3 (KJV) – "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

Everything begins with the Word. The miracles we chase begin with the Word. The change we desire is rooted in the Word. But what are we truly seeking—His Word or another powerful preacher?

3. Faith in the Word Brings Results

Sarah conceived a child at age 90. There was no deliverance session. No prophetic declarations. Just the spoken Word—and she believed it.

Genesis 21:1-2 (KJV) – "And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived..."

Many of us haven't received our "Isaac" because when the Word came, we didn’t receive it as truth. We didn’t mix it with faith.

Romans 4:20-21 (KJV) – "[Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith... being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform."

---

4. God’s Word Cannot Fail

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) – "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void..."

If God has spoken, His Word must accomplish what it was sent for. But it’s up to you to receive it and believe it.

---

5. Seek God, Not Just Great Men

Daniel 11:32 (KJV) – "...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits."

If you’re feeling like nothing is working in your life, here is the word for you:

Don’t chase great men—seek a GREAT GOD.

Believe this GREAT GOD.

Believe His Word.

Final Thoughts

The Bible is filled with men and women who took God at His Word. That’s what we are called to do—not to follow after miracles, but to believe in the Miracle Worker.

He is still speaking.

He is still rewarding those who seek Him.

He is still honoring His Word.

Are you seeking Him or seeking someone to speak on His behalf?

Choose today to believe.
