To revere, to aspire.

I was always told that I could do it, I just was shy and bashful.

Hey there! I'm Mariel, and I've always aspired to be an author growing up. It was a oath, an oath I achieved at the start of the year. Though not grand as I expected it to be, at the very least, I achieved that short moment where I can finally say I made it.

That made me realize, it wasn't what I only want to do, I wanted to do more. I wanted to lead, to speak. I desired to be the voice of those in need of something, the voice to the problems in need of solutions. It took me long reflections to reach that stand, and so I dedicated to honing my current skills and build new skills to achieve such lengths.

Yet, I'm only starting out. I get lost at times and look for help, but I lack the connections or support that truly brings me there. Though, that never stopped my yearnings to be who I want to be, who I will be. And so I search, looking for my community. Simultaneously, I keep working on myself to get a step closer to my ambitions each and every day. Perhaps one day, I'll find myself advocating just like in my dreams.
