In deaf community the greatest challenge is, lack of an established network of deaf persons in the country, this makes it hard for the deaf to push for their agenda .bearing in mind that it’ is a minority group existing in larger hearing community and not in a centralized position, and the fact that deafness is not a shouting problem like blindness or other human challenges.
secondly is the Communication challenge, which directly affects all aspect of human life ; access employment in the hearing community is close to impossibility, access to better higher education is a dream to majority of the deaf especially because there is no any single higher learning institution in East Africa that caters for the deaf person.unreported rape cases for young girls and women ,early pregnancies ,lack of knowledge in issues relating to HIV/AIDS and other health topics Which sums up to increase of poverty level among the Deaf.

One of the solutions to this problem is having the deaf organize themselves in groups
Within the locality they live in, and establishing communication with the larger group working toward a common goal toward solving the problem experienced by the deaf community it’s easier to push for a certain mission while in a larger group than as individual.
Another solution to the economical challenges that the deaf go through is by using and improving the existing skills among themselves to improve the quality of their lives, e.g. we have introduced a tailoring project for the deaf women in eastern Kenya, bearing in mind that most deaf women are familiar with tailoring, we want to specialize on school uniform and seek to look for market in schools, train on new design and specialize on other unique products. This is toward improving the quality of the family Life.

Through pulse wire the deaf community can benefit in several way, one; it connects the hearing community to the hearing challenged without discrimination it can connect the African Deaf to other Deaf persons in the world and share experiences and solution to life challenges ,can learn other methods that has worked for other community and apply it on their community and also learn from each other as well as establish communication network which is lacking in our deaf world by sharing their voice with the world .
