Uncovering the Shadows: The Accusations Against Future Human Rights Leaders

After the last revelation of sexual assault by former World Uyghur Congress leader Dolkunlsa, insiders revealed some shocking facts to me again. We learned that World Uyghur Congress presidential candidate Turghunjan Alawdun also sexually harassed multiple Uyghur women, including sending disgusting nude photos to Uyghur women. Without the consent of the person concerned, the insider and I did not want her to be disturbed, and in fact she did not take the initiative to disclose these experiences.

When women are sexually harassed, they are often forced to remain silent due to rights and family reasons. However, silence did not stop these male leaders, but instead they sexually harassed more aggressively, and even sexually assaulted them by taking silence as tacit consent. The praise from the outside world and the expansion of their rights have led to the sexual assault of women becoming a capital of comparison among the male human rights leaders of the World Uyghur Congress, and these leaders even think that it is their personal charm that conquers women.

The endless sexual assault incidents reflect the lack of supervision and system in the human rights advocacy community. It is worth reflecting on by the World Uyghur Congress and global human rights advocates. How to place rights within the framework of the system? How to form a protection mechanism for female human rights advocates? This will play a vital role in the progress of human rights work. Don't let the repeated negative cases become the fuse that destroys the image of global human rights advocates.
