Uniquely Mine: A University Journey Beyond the Expected

Wednesday 17th 2024 marked a milestone: I submitted my last paper. My undergrad is finally done! Freshman year feels like a life time ago. Back then, I had a crystal-clear plan for my university experience, filled with dreams and expectations. Of course, life had other things in store.

The familiar faces I entered with gradually faded, our paths diverging. Two close friends I made initially became acquaintances, and the cohort I envisioned finishing with, well, wasn't quite so. Disappointment threatened to engulf me.

But amidst the unexpected, something wonderful bloomed.  New friendships blossomed, forged not in familiarity, but in shared struggles and a common purpose – academic success. It wasn't always smooth sailing. We had our differences, but through open communication and a commitment to our goals, we found a way to unite. It was during this journey that Project Digital Kenya was born, a testament to the strength we built together.

This experience taught me a valuable lesson:  life rarely adheres to our rigid plans. Sometimes, the detours lead to the most beautiful destinations.  So, dear reader, hold onto your vision, but embrace the unexpected twists. It's often in the rerouting that we discover the most fulfilling connections and forge the strongest bonds. Remember, the pieces of your extraordinary puzzle might just fall into place in ways you never imagined.
