"First-of-Their-Kind Projects. Lasting Global Change."
Artemis Project is taking a landmark step with the launch of our Australia Growth Initiative, Global Horizons: Australia. Building on years of leadership in Canada, we are expanding Gender Responsive Procurement (GRP) into one of the world’s largest mining markets. This initiative creates a bridge of collaboration between Canada and Australia, strengthening supply chains, advancing women entrepreneurs, and setting a new global benchmark for inclusive excellence in mining.
Our international growth is not only about market presence—it’s about legacy-building, positioning mining as a sector that leads in innovation, responsibility, and equitable economic advancement.
In October 2025, Artemis has been invited by the Government of Ontario to participate in the Canadian Mining Mission to IMARC (International Mining and Resources Conference) in Melbourne, the largest global event for the mining industry. This prestigious platform provides the ideal stage for Artemis to introduce our work to Australia. Over the course of the mission, Artemis will meet, speak, and exhibit, engaging directly with mining executives, procurement leaders, and policy influencers. Our primary goal is to secure five inaugural sponsorship partners in Australia. These partners will play a foundational role in building Artemis’s entrepreneurial ecosystem of premium women-owned businesses in mining—an ecosystem designed to create lasting economic and social value across the sector.
Why Australia, Why Now
Australia stands at the forefront of the global mining industry, with world-class companies, operations, and supply chains that extend across continents. Yet, like much of the industry worldwide, the full participation of women entrepreneurs in mining supply chains remains under-realized.
Artemis brings to Australia a tested and impactful model:
Gender Responsive Procurement frameworks that unlock the potential of women-owned suppliers in mining.
Entrepreneurial ecosystem development that raises the visibility, competitiveness, and networks of women suppliers.
International training and leadership programs for women in mining and engineering talent, including groundbreaking initiatives in Latin America.
Global-first partnerships such as our collaboration with Zimbaqua—the world’s first women-only operated mine in Zimbabwe—demonstrating Artemis’s commitment to projects no one else is doing.
By entering Australia, Artemis will strengthen the bridge between two of the world’s leading mining nations, aligning Canadian innovation with Australian opportunity. This expansion positions Artemis as the first organization to deliver a scalable, proven GRP model across continents.
Strategy for Launching in Australia
Artemis’s approach is focused, ambitious, and relationship-driven. Our launch strategy consists of three interlocking priorities:
1. Sponsorship and Partnership Development
At IMARC 2025, Artemis will engage with leading Australian mining producers and global service companies to secure our first five sponsorship partners. These partners will:
Anchor Artemis’s entry into Australia.
Provide financial and strategic support to build a network of premium women-owned suppliers.
Position themselves as industry leaders in inclusive innovation, reputation, and impact.
2. Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
With sponsorship secured, Artemis will establish an Australian Artemis Supplier Network:
Identify, onboard, and certify women-owned businesses in mining-related sectors.
Deliver enterprise sales training, leadership development, and customer service excellence programs tailored to the mining industry.
Create supplier-buyer connections through curated introductions to procurement leaders, HR teams, and technical buyers.
Elevate these suppliers through visibility campaigns, showcasing their capacity to deliver performance and innovation.
The result will be an ecosystem of premium, investment-ready, and mining-qualified women-owned suppliers, aligned with the priorities of Australian mining companies.
3. International Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer
Artemis will extend the reach of its unique international initiatives into the Australian context:
LATAM-based EIT Training Programs: Expanding global leadership programs for early-in-training women engineers into Australian institutions and companies.
Zimbaqua Partnership Insights: Sharing learnings from our groundbreaking partnership with the world’s first women-only mine to inspire new models of women’s leadership in mining.
Cross-Continental Connections: Linking Canadian and Australian women-owned businesses to foster trade opportunities, innovation, and collaboration.
Impact and Outcomes
Artemis’s expansion into Australia will produce tangible, measurable outcomes for both mining companies and women entrepreneurs:
For Mining Companies:
Strengthened supply chains with greater diversity, innovation, and resilience.
Enhanced global reputation as leaders in gender-responsive procurement and inclusive economic development.
Increased alignment with global sustainability and ESG frameworks.
For Women Entrepreneurs:
Expanded access to contracts and opportunities in mining supply chains.
Enhanced capacity through enterprise sales and leadership training.
Entry into a prestigious, high-visibility supplier network.
Direct relationships with decision-makers in major mining companies.
For the Industry as a Whole:
Establishment of Australia’s first coordinated ecosystem of women-owned mining suppliers.
Demonstration of global leadership, positioning mining as a sector advancing inclusion and innovation.
Replicable frameworks that can expand into other mining regions such as Chile, the UK, and South Africa.
Call to Partnership
Artemis Project is seeking visionary mining companies and industry partners to join us as founding sponsors in Australia. These organizations will not only benefit from stronger supplier ecosystems but will also be recognized as global leaders in advancing women in mining. Together, we can build a legacy of inclusive excellence that reshapes the future of mining worldwide.
By joining Global Horizons: Australia, our partners will:
Be at the forefront of a first-of-its-kind initiative.
Gain access to a curated network of women-owned suppliers.
Demonstrate leadership at IMARC and beyond as champions of innovation, inclusion, and impact.
Conclusion
The launch of Global Horizons: Australia marks a defining moment for Artemis Project. With the support of the Ontario Government and the visibility of IMARC 2025, Artemis is uniquely positioned to secure founding partnerships and establish a transformative entrepreneurial ecosystem for women in mining.
This initiative reflects Artemis’s broader purpose: to pioneer projects no one else is doing, elevate women entrepreneurs, and set a global standard for inclusive excellence in mining. From building entrepreneurial ecosystems in Canada, to advancing international training programs, to partnering with groundbreaking initiatives like Zimbaqua, Artemis has consistently demonstrated innovation and impact.
Now, with Global Horizons: Australia, we take the next step—expanding borders, breaking new ground, and redefining what’s possible for women in mining worldwide.
