UNVTF Small Grants Programme 2025

"Administered by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Trust Fund's mandate is to provide humanitarian, legal and economic assistance to victims of trafficking in persons through the awarding of multi-year grants to specialized, in-situ, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), who are on the frontlines of tackling human trafficking.

The UNVTF is accepting applications for its Global Call for Proposals (Cycle 9.1) supporting short-term, high-intensity victims' assistance projects.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must:

a) be a non-profit making organisation (NGO, CSOs, CBOs) registered under the relevant Laws of the country where it is registered and in the country where it will be implementing the proposed project;

b) have been registered by 1 December 2022;

c) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, i.e., not acting as an intermediary;

d) demonstrate prior experience of at least two (2) year implementing activities in the area of direct assistance to victims of trafficking in persons in line with the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime or in providing other services to vulnerable populations including IDPs and forcibly displaced persons;

e) complete registration in the UN Partner Portal (UNPP) with a valid Partner ID including Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Module;

f) have a bank account in the organisation’s name;

g) confirm that the organisation takes appropriate measures to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse and signs the Partner declaration form.

2. Project Duration: Up to 9 months.

3. Grants: Up to USD 20,000.

4. Full project proposals must be submitted in accordance with the instructions in the full project proposal application form. 

5. Application forms (Annex A – Project Proposal along with workplan, and Annex B – Project Budget) can be submitted in the following languages only: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.

6. Only one application per applicant will be accepted.

The deadline for submission is on the 31st of January 2025, at 23:59 CEST."
