Update of Nora initiative to combat violence against women abroad

The Noura Initiative to Combat Violence Against Women Abroad joined the Sudanese Female Journalists Solidarity Forum to help many Sudanese female journalists who became unemployed following the outbreak of the Sudanese war, especially those currently stranded in Sudan. In 2023, female journalists expressed solidarity by donating a small sum to fund surgery for a female journalist, contributing to medical costs, meeting a need, or other needs. The initiative also coordinated with an employment agency with branches inside and outside the country to find job opportunities suitable for journalists and their families, as well as for Sudanese seeking work in various fields and in a number of different occupations.
