Hungry for change

Hey guys,
Trust you are all good,
My name is Destinée from the republic of Congo and  a Fashion and Design graduate , winner of Merck foundation fashion award, owner of getrealwithMe podcast and fashion brand a very passionate person of writing, speechifying, designing…. and whose desire is to make a difference in my motherland by bringing out her beauty and diversities in uniqueness to the world. Hope you will enjoy diving in with me . .
Congo or the republic of Congo but well known as Congo Brazzaville, whose population is estimated to 6,592,000 million with a total area of 242,000 sq km and urban-rural going for 69.6% in urban and 30.4% in rural areas with a reputation of birthing Rumba music and more interesting things like the most beautiful and untouched vegetations…,is one of the most beautiful, quiet, welcoming, interesting  countries in Africa because she is well known for her heavy but beautiful historyÂ
along the lines but also endowed with exceptional natural resources including minerals, immense tropical peatland but also artistic atmosphere.
As it goes this way, this project called “Uplifting the Congo  “ will be enlightening and uplifting this beautiful country whose past has brought shadow and darkness to her history and civilisation but most likely to show another side of her life to the world by showcasing it traditionally, culturally… to attract visitors and tourists all around the globe why not raising its flag once again higher on the globe and here I come with this project to be able to impact in many ways people that like touring, traveling and discovering new places but mostly to help people to invest in my beautiful country called The Republic of Congo .
This project will help people to get knowledge about activities that can be done and performed in Congo and remove all bad assumptions about the country due to all the wars that happened there but mostly put emphasis  on the social and cultural heritages and events to make it the center of all interest.
Culturally,The presence of many ethnic groups and in the past of various political structures (Kongo Empire, Loango kingdom, Teke kingdom, northern chiefdoms) has endowed the current country with a great diversity of traditional cultures and as many ancient artistic expressions: "nail fetishes" Vili, bembe statuettes so expressive that reach a kind of monumentality despite their small size[ref. desired], strange masks of the Punu and Kwele, Kota reliquaries, Téké fetishes, cemeteries with monumental tombs, of the Lari country..
And people like Michel Rafa,Jaques Loubelo,,Cosmos Moutouari ,Pierre Moutouari,Antoine Moundanda …and traditional groups like Ballet lemba ,Mfouamila Kongo…dances like Ekongo,Kyébé-kyébé,soukous,mopacho…have been and still continuing  to brighten up our culture and traditions through drums and music.
Textically, Raffia is a natural fibre that is derived from the leaves of the raffia palm tree, which is native to tropical regions in Madagascar and parts of Africa and Asia. The leaves of the raffia palm tree are long and thin, and they are harvested and processed to create the fibre that is used in raffia products and for crafting.Â
And in the republic of the Congo,In Congo Brazzaville, raffia is widely used in certain rites and customs, especially among the Téke. The raffia loincloth remains the traditional outfit worn by King Téké and certain customary chefs and the people of the country since empires and kingdoms such as Loango,Teke,Moyen Congo…
Touristically, Like most of the countries around Africa with so much potential,The republic of Congo is much covered with tropical rainforests , although logging has cleared areas in the south. The dense growth of African oak, red cedar, walnut, softwood okoumé, or gaboon mahogany, and hardwood limba (Terminalia superba) remaining in some regions provides an evergreen canopy over the sparse undergrowth of leafy plants and vines. Coconut palms, mangrove forests, and tall grasses and reeds grow in the coastal regions and eastern swamps. The plateaus and the Niari valley are covered with grasses and scattered broad-leaved trees.
Several varieties of monkeys, chimpanzees, gorillas, elephants, okapis, wild boars, and buffaloes live in the forests. Wildlife in the savanna regions includes antelopes, jackals, wild dogs, hyenas, and cheetahs. On the plateaus, rhinoceroses and giraffes are numerous, but lions are scarces . Birdlife includes predatory eagles, hawks, and owls, scavenging vultures, and wading herons. Some one-sixth of Congolese territory is protected; national parks include Nouabalé-Ndoki, in which dwell more than 300 species of bird and more than 1,000 plant and tree species, and Odzala-kokoua, which is an important elephant and gorilla sanctuary.
Freshwater fish include perch, catfish, sunfish, and mudskippers. Crocodiles inhabit the Congo river. The numerous snakes include such poisonous varieties as cobra, green mamba, and puff adder, as well as species of python. The most dangerous insects tsetse flies.Â
Aside that ,the country offers nice places and spaces for tourisim, excursions, visits, and highlife activities, nightlif are well balanced and very present, pleasant in each parevery part of the country with tour agencies like Congo travels, kikiwanda,Mfouamila Kongo tours…the country offers the best experiences to have or experience
So next time you come around , we will make sure you are received with rhythms and dances of hospitality
I would also like people to be able to help by donations ,sharing.. to help this project come to life
