In my work as a philanthropist and through six years of visiting various orphanages, I have come to realize that many children do not end up on the streets or in orphanages solely because they have lost both parents. In many cases, they run away from home due to the mistreatment they face, often at the hands of their own relatives or step-parents. Tragically, these children find life on the streets or with strangers preferable to the abuse and neglect they endure at home.
This is a heartbreaking reality, and it underscores the urgent need for justice and protection for children who are forced to flee unsafe environments. Every child deserves a safe, loving, and nurturing home, free from abuse and mistreatment.
