ICT can be used to create awareness about GBV through social media campaigns, online resources, and mobile apps, providing information about rights, laws, and available support services. Setting a vision by establish a clear vision and strategy for leveraging ICT to prevent and respond to GBV, ensuring that our efforts align with the needs and priorities of survivors and communities in Cameroon for young girls and women in Nkwen rural.
ICT tools, such as mobile apps and online platforms will facilitate reporting and documenting GBV incidents while helping survivors access support and justice, and also providing valuable data for research and policy-making. We collaborate with various stakeholders, including civil society organizations, tech companies, and grassroots initiatives, to maximize the impact of ICT-based interventions.
Furthermore, digital skills training and online marketing will help the young girls and women gain financial independence, which has been shown to reduce the risk of GBV and provide a pathway to safety for survivors.
We believe that, using ICT to advocate for policy changes, promote better implementation of existing laws, and hold governments accountable for addressing GBV through online petitions, social media campaigns, and e-governance platforms, is to ensure that the development and use of ICT tools for addressing GBV prioritize privacy, security, and ethical considerations, to protect survivors and avoid potential harm.
Infomation Communication and Technology also helps the community get online counseling, hotlines, and virtual safe spaces which will provide survivors with anonymous and accessible support services to address physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Use our platform to advocate for policy changes, raising awareness about GBV, and promote the benefits of ICT in prevention and response efforts.
In addition, Capacity building Support training and capacity-building initiatives to equip community members, survivors, and professionals with the skills and knowledge to effectively use ICT for GBV prevention and response.
This campaign will go a long way to facilitate community mobilization and social norm change by promoting discussions, organizing events, and sharing survivor stories, thereby breaking the silence around gender equality.
Providing ICT tools such as mobile apps and online platforms, these will facilitate reporting and documenting GBV incidents, helping survivors access support and justice, while we'll also provide valuable data for research and policy-making.
Finally, fulfilling these roles will help contribute significantly to the development and implementation of effective, survivor-centered ICT solutions for addressing GBV and promoting gender equality and oversee the monitoring and evaluation of ICT-based interventions to assess their effectiveness, identify gaps, and inform evidence-based decision-making and policy development.
