Vagabond

I went to your village,

Uncommon it seems

Shelters were built with

Visions and dreams

The walls, made of prose,

Sculpted with letters,

Crafted with care by

Women trailblazers

Voices raised flags

From various countries

To break the bondage

Of tragic poetries

'Tis a safe space

For brave storytellers

'Tis the haven

Of kind encouragers

I was a vagabond

Vying for vacancy

Finding a place to

Unburden my journey

You opened the gates

With welcoming trust

Held my hand, and said,

" Sister, come live with us!"
