Vanity

VANITY

We've worked all the energy on hard stones, We've sown our seeds in the air, Assumption became our pride When we had Cook food from no pot.

We've left to weary in deadlock To build a fortress of dreams That stood beneath our toes; A nightmare that isn't reversible.

Our motifs woo us out of ignorant, Because we were tyros to thrive. We've buried our ears in conceits Because facts are now deceits.

Because we have been deceived, Because our tiresome souls clings on smooth wall; A wall We built out of assumption, We've set the pace for our stupidity To steal our conscious of thinking about today in vanity, Not the future in probity
