WAKE UP BEFORE I CEASE TO EXIST

WAKE UP BEFORE I CEASE TO EXIST

Wake up people, as I am dying.

Speak up, as my speech is impeded.

Give me food, as I am hungry.

Set me free, as I am confined.

Look at my bruises, as I am bleeding.

Look at my eyes, as pellets have hit me in my eyes.

This is not a hoopla, nor a drama or a dream.

This is me caged Gaza called Kashmir.

Occupied by India and its fascist regime.

O’ warlords visit me and see my plight.

I am not lying like my deceitful colonizers.

My children are starving for the want of food.

My youth perishing for the want of freedom.

My elderly are clogging with tear gas smoke.

My women are in constant fear of being humiliated.

My mothers are wailing over the disappearances of their sons.

My air is pungent with your immoral presence.

My land is shaking with your brutal atrocities.

Yet the world is in slumber, ignorant of my wounds.

Wake up world before it is too late.

Wake up before I cease to exist.
