We Nailed it!

In Mid may, i was more than elated to have been selected as a Featured Change Maker on World Pulse - a small token had been attached to the opportunity as well.

We opted to use this honorarium in support of the local schools in Homa Bay from our past visit and each was to receive Sanitary Towels - at 1st it seemed a tall order, but we managed to the resource to ensure that Period Poverty for this duration would not hinder their access to education.

In our past visit we had walked through Menstrual Hygiene and Sanitation, and this was to cap it off with the most important tool - the Sanitary Towels.

Most were surprised but more than happy some for the first time to access sanitary towels.

Their faces and sanitary towels in hand speak for themselves!

Our appreciation as Tumakinike Trust to the World Pulse Team for facilitating this!

As i sign off and as we await to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child and in line with its theme; The Girl I am, The Change I lead - Girls on the frontlines of Crisis

Let us in the smallest of actions always be a sister's keeper!

Adios!
