story

My journey towards a virtuous circle (Read the article http://www.worldpulse.com/node/8758) is a heed to the call of women living in the wilderness of vast illiteracy, gender inequality, harmful traditional practices, HIV/aids, lack, just to mention a few. It is a response to the Voice of Reason calling from a far. It is the voice of a beautiful, creative and hospitable women who cannot continue living in these deplorable situations and are working hard to find a new platform of power.
"Whom shall we send?" was the echo that captured my attention more than two score years ago and submitted to the call when I said send and speak through me.
Today, I am proud to be an Ambassador in worldpulse wire and on every other platform that I may be called upon to serve. My duties and responsibilities have been squarely describe. To be a mouthpiece for the many voice-full women and girls in rural Africa. Did I say Voice-full, new word Aah? Yes!! Many are days that my mothers and sisters have been considered a voiceless people bypassed by development programs, literacy programs, media outlets, information, entertainment or any other medium of communication and education. As a result, there has been a misrepresentation and /or misguided approach to issues affecting women and girls in Rural Africa.
As an ambassador, my core responsibility is to faithfully and in friendliness represent the interests of the women and girls in rural Africa . And that is why I use worldpulse wire to represent their interests and needs aimed to promote gender equality, equity and empowerment of women and girls in Africa.
In this assignment am required not to become entangled with the customs where you have been sent. Customs that have portrayed women in rural Africa as weak and incapable, but rather to show the creativity, talent, wisdom and beauty they possess. To detest that women in rural Africa are not just beneficiaries but benefactors who want to be included in every discourse of social change.
Upon accomplishing my every assignment am expected to return to my motherland at the appointed time, and report what I did for my continent. In that day I will surely speak boldly and say that I made a stop at worldpulse wire and shared the vision with the women from all over the world. That I built alliances of friendships through the Rafiki Club which 30 days after its inception has involved more than 100 women in global cross-cultural friendships and by so doing created room for women and girls in Rural Africa to participate in discourses on global issues.
Thank you, Worldpulse.com. Through this network my diplomatic mission is made possible. I will tell those who sent me that I came, I saw , I built alliances and I conquered!!!!
