What does land mean to me?

What do I mean to me? Land reminds me to not take myself seriously, that every aspect of life is evolving in the order it is meant to. To leave what is bothering me behind and enjoy the celebration of being alive each day. Without being asked, the land gives to us what we need to thrive. To be a steward of land rather than believe it is ours to keep. Land offers a foundation for the living to exist in peace and harmony. Each of us has a connection and a responsibility to make a positive impact on that which we have been given. Land is nourishment for the body and the soul, it fills us up unconsciously when we truly see it and feel its presence. Land is light, Land is love and so are we. It's only the pollution of the mind that brings to fruition the pollution of land; let's offer everyone and everything compassion, beginning with ourselves. When we share, we can recognize that which connects us to all living and bring peace. As I find a peaceful life in myself, I find peace in land and us. Michael Jackson's song "Heal the World" plays in my head as I type this submission "you, me and the entire human race" touches me.
