WHAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WORD IN THE WORLD?

Dear True and Bold …

What’s the most beautiful word in the world?

Bold.

I think of you, Kundie,

How you faced it all with a smile.

Through the illness,

Through the pain,

You stood tall

Braver than any of us could ever be.

Bold, even when the world tried to break you.

You kept smiling,

Kept giving us hope,

Too brave for your age.

Damn, you were bold.

I remember the times you laughed,

Even when your body grew weak.

You stayed strong,

A fighter till the end.

Two weeks before your birthday,

You could barely stand,

But your spirit?

Still standing, still bold.

The last time I saw you,

You avoided my eyes,

But your heart, your courage

They were louder than words.

Even in silence,

You were bold.

When Danny brought the tests,

You grabbed them,

Ready to face the truth head-on.

Too clever, too brave

You understood more than I did,

But you never let fear take hold.

Bold, Kundie. Always bold.

Even as Carcinoma tried to steal your light,

You refused to dim,

You refused to be anything but strong.

So long, Kundie.

I’ll always remember the courage you showed,

How you taught us what it means to be bold.

There will never be another like you,

A soul too brave,

Too bold for this world.
