what lessons I am passing on to my daughter.

Seeking
Encouragement

Every day, I ask myself what lessons I am passing on to my daughter.
As a mother and as a woman, I think a lot about the opportunities I have today to raise a girl.
I talk a lot about inclusion, discuss social roles, and the opportunities we women have to access different spaces, such as health, education, finance, and others.
When I look at my little one, I want her to have more opportunities than I have. I want her to learn to respect and love others, but first and foremost, I want her to learn to respect and love herself.
Respecting and loving herself should not be about overvaluing her ego but about establishing a foundation for creating a safe space where she can freely express herself. A space where she can make decisions about her own life, act for the benefit of others, and still not erase herself in the process
However, from time to time, even with all these conditions in place, I feel that I haven’t been able to create this space for myself. I feel that I, too, reproduce systems of oppression against women, and I know she often notices it
The truth is, many of these things are deeply rooted within us, and they unconsciously surface.
I keep a close watch on myself and seek alternative ways of doing things without overwhelming myself
Anyways, I understand that this is a journey we must take every day, step by step, little by little.
I learn this every day, and today I am pleased to share with you all that my second book, Paixões de Palmira (Palmira's Passions), also touches on some of these reflection.
The book will be launched on the 5th and will be available to everyone.
