When Miracles Speak up

🌿 When My Mother Opened Her Eyes Again

By Hawraa Ghandour

The night she slept by my side for the first time became the night my world changed forever.

It was the first time she slept by my side.

Something in her presence that night felt different — quieter, softer, almost prophetic.

I watched her breathe, unaware that I was watching a miracle unfold in reverse.

At dawn, I woke to the sound of her heavy breathing.

I thought she was having a bad dream. I tried to wake her up — but she wouldn’t answer.

In a moment, everything turned into noise: calls for help, rushing footsteps, sirens in the dark.

And suddenly, she was gone — not from this world, but from consciousness.

They called it a coma.

I called it a sacred silence.

Days became nights, nights became prayers.

I held her hand and whispered verses she loved,

telling her about the world she once filled with laughter,

hoping that somewhere deep inside, her soul could still hear me.

Then, one day, her fingers moved.

Her eyes trembled open.

Her breath returned like a whisper of life itself.

In that instant, I knew: God never forgets the hearts that trust Him.

Alhamdulillah. Praise be to the One who never disappoints those who surrender to His mercy.

To everyone who prayed for her — family, friends, strangers from around the world — your prayers became light.

They crossed walls, machines, and distances, reaching her heart when mine could not.

This is not just a story of healing — it’s a testimony of love, faith, and the silent miracles that still happen when we believe.

May every mother in silence awaken.

May every heart waiting for mercy find it.

And may we never forget that sometimes, the smallest moment —

a mother sleeping by her daughter’s side — can hold the beginning of a miracle. 🤍
