I’ve seen so many instances (both in media and in real life) where women are blamed for whatever happens to them during sex (or worse).
I remember one episode in Fraiser that a woman (I don’t know her name) got pregnant after having sex with a broken condom, and got upset when people called her a whore and a slut. Yet according to fans of the show, it was somehow HER fault for talking about it, and she wouldn’t be shamed for it if she “just simply kept her mouth shut”.
Ugh, talk about double standards! When a man has sex and talks about it, he gets praised for it, but when it’s a woman doing the same thing, she’s called a slut and a whore.
Now top that off with sexual abuse. It wouldn’t matter whether a woman decides to have sex or not, she’s still a slut and a whore regardless. Why are we still shaming women for having sex? Why is sex such a bad thing in a woman when men desire it so much and still view us as objects? How are we the ones at fault here?
