Why is age a factor?

Hello fellow women,

I am writing to you to speak to your heart directly. I am in search of women who are in their mid thirties or later who have started their lives and had a very unconventional path in the way they lived. I am writing to share something personal here.

I have been trying to navigate my way to do masters in education from outside India and whenever I speak to people, age is something that always comes up.

I do not understand why age matters. In all of this it seems it is really your fault that you did not start before and it is forbidden for you to start now.

You are 16, now we must look for a groom for you

And I thought I was so young, when did I live

You are in your early twenties, we must marry you

And I thought so soon

You are in your mid twenties, when will you marry

You are in your late twenties, when will you have kids, it would be too late to become a mother

You are in your early thirties, forget about thinking of being a mother, it is already too late

You are in your mid thirties, and now you are thinking of studying, you will not get into an institution so think before you do it

When will I live without fear

And why is only one kind of way of living life celebrated and promoted
