Why Not Me?

I’d like to share some updates on the progress of my initiative.
Recently, I’ve been pitching my NGO idea to people around me, and it’s been encouraging to see that some of my classmates and peers are genuinely excited about it. I’ve been working on structuring the concept to ensure I can present a clear and compelling demo. The heart of this initiative is to demonstrate that we’re not simply fulfilling an academic requirement or turning in a paper for a grade. We’re building a real organization—with a tangible foundation—that aims to deliver meaningful, lasting impact to a specific community.
Some peers were excited to join but their requests are sort of like gaining an internship experience or doing something that they can immediately see results. However, I made it clear that we're building this from the ground up—this isn't about any school project; it's about co-founding non-profit with a CEO mindset. It requires not just passion but also the willingness to face uncertainty, co-create a vision, and take on real risks. I understand how challenging it can be to inspire commitment when there’s no immediate reward to offer. So I will continue to target and promote until a strong and coherently bound team is built.
One of the first questions raised was about legality. Initially, I thought of legal registration as something to handle later in the process—once we had momentum. But I now realize that, particularly in countries with strict regulations, legality can’t be an afterthought. While we can’t wait for official approval to take every first step, neglecting legal clarity from the start can hinder trust and progress. Like many startups, our journey begins with a prototype—a minimum viable project to test ideas and gather feedback.
This experience has deepened my understanding of what it really means to start something new. It’s inherently risky. Deciding to begin is just the first commitment—continuing means shouldering more responsibility, facing doubt, and moving forward without guarantees. Still, every successful venture started somewhere—often in uncertainty, just like where I am now. So, why not me?
Reading stories of successful entrepreneurs and nonprofit founders has been incredibly motivating. Many of them started with messy, unclear beginnings, but they kept going. Learning from those I admire has been one of the most valuable takeaways from this process.
World Pulse feels like a sanctuary where I can freely share my thoughts, ideas, and emotions. The words of encouragement I’ve received have been invaluable to my journey. I’m truly grateful to have joined this platform and to continue growing alongside it.
