WOMEN - A STRANGE SPECIES

Bula Vinaka [Greetings in Fijian] all you beautiful and strong women out there.....

As a magazine owner, publisher and writer we went to see if we could interview a woman who owned a small cafe which just opened. We wanted to talk about her new cafe in our Food Column. But she refused to talk about herself......I was amazed at how she didn't want anything mentioned about her........She felt other women's stories was more important and inspiring than hers.......But she gave a brief background about herself....she came from a big family and from what she told us.....there were many challenges she went through to get where she is today.......

She said she found it difficult talking about herself......

Such humbleness....

We have encountered a lot of women who refused to be interviewed as they were hesitant to talk about themselves.......Much love.....We try to persuade them to tell their stories so it can inspire our young women....
