Women Celebrate IWD

BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE: Tomorrow, i will be joining hands with hundreds of women and men in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to commemorate the 2010 International Women's Day.
To mark the International Women's Day, the Bulawayo Chapter of the Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe has organised the Onandi Women's Festival, an annual event that was spearheaded three years ago by the Bulawayo Chaprter of the Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe to bring women and men together to reflect on their successes and challenges as they work towards advancing women's rights.
The Onandi Women's Festival will start at 0930 hours and end at 1300 hours. Some of the activities lined up include a march from Esigondi bus terminus to the small city, information dissemination by organisations in Bulawayo who work with women, theatre perfomances, arts and crafts, a photography exhibition, music performances and story telling. In addition, some women will be honoured for their valid contribution to advancing women's rights.
The Festival promises to be another exciting event.
I will be giving you an update on what happens tomorrow.
