WOMEN IN SOUTH KIVU WALK TO SUPPORT PEACE IN NORTH-KIVU, DRC.

After resuming the last rebel positions of M23 by the Armed Forces of the DRC (FARDC), women's groups organized on Wednesday, November 6 at Bukavu a walk to greet the peace in North Kivu and action the Congolese army.
This work is carried out on the road Patrice Emery Lumumba. She started at the border (Rwanda Bukavu), ending at the governor office, where a memorandum was submitted to the provincial authority. The march was organized by the Civil Society in collaboration with the Ministry Gender, Women and the Family.

"We support our brave soldiers for battles won and encourage the efforts of the president, Joseph KABILA for his commitment to the eradication of many armed groups in the country," said one civil society member.
We women Mom Shujaa also demand the end of the talks in Kampala and we urge the international community to stop demanding the prosecution of these because we believe this work moot.

Other women's groups have organized similar protests in Goma, North Kivu Province, the DRC capital Kinshasa, Kisangani in Oriental Province. About six hundred women sang songs in praise of the Congolese military.
In addition, these women have requested that the army continued the hunt for the remaining armed groups in Ituri (Eastern Province) and in some villages in South Kivu.
