Women are just like men they don't differentiate. People think that women cannot lead , control or develop the society, but the fact they can do this and more. Many people wont elect someone if it is a woman just like what is happening here in Lebanon.
Discrimination against women in the Lebanese society is exacerbated and enforced by some of the current traditional political parties, especially in rural areas where they try to keep women in the realm they have created for them throughout history
Lebanese women have long found it difficult to make any headway into Lebanese politics, with only between three and six ever being elected in each of the past five parliamentary elections. There is only one woman among the Prime Minister 24-person cabinet. During his previous terms in office, beginning in 2005 and 2011, His cabinet included no women.
