Women voices in Mbororo minority community are not heard because of their culture of Pulaaku which is a culture of silence

It has not been an easy task to make the voices of Mbororo women to be heard because of the culture of Pulaaku(culture of silence) which is characterized by shyness and being quiet.Women's decisions are mostly taken by men.I have carried out workshops and trainings on the need to speak out denounce Gender based violence (especially forced and early marriages) and also the need for girls to know their Sexual reproductive health rights and women's Right.We encourage the girls to speak out and also identify referals Incase of violence.We have don lots of works in the Mbororo communities and non mbororo communities in the North west region of Cameroon on women empowerment menstrual hygiene management GBV and also identifying some of the cultural and traditional norms that leads to GBV and also awareness to Parent on the importance of education of the girl child
