Working together across borders = miracles

Prior to the recent health care changes to take place in the near future, the USA health care system is in shambles. A very, very expensive shambles. That is one reason I worked so hard (with others) for five years to get an affordable primary health clinic here in this rural town in Texas due to finally open by year's end.
Therefore, I was over-joyed to just read (AARP Bulletin) an article entitled "Iranian Cure for the Delta's Blues." In the state of Mississippi the Delta Region is well known for extreme poverty (as well as the birthplace for the Blues (music style)). A doctor from the Delta met with Mohammad Shahbazi, M.D.from southern Iran and chair of the Department of Behavioral and Environmental Health at Jackson State University and together they went to the Islamic Republic of Iran to explore Iran's Health Houses as a possible model for use in the Delta as well as in the US in general. Long story short, thanks to this Iranian model and much help from several Iranian health care specialists/professionals who came to the US to promote their medical model, Dr. Shirley is now in the process of setting up similar models in this extremely poor section of the Mississippi Delta.
While our mutual governments "...are practicing boisterous brinkmanship over nuclear proliferation, a small group of health care professionals from both countries are quietly working together to practice a new type of medicine,..." (ARRP Bulletin p. 12).
We the people of the world are together taking care of the business of the people of the world.
Thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran for all your expert help and assistance in this important area. Because of your help fewer people in the United States of America will die needlessly because of lack of affordable health care.
