this years them is accelerate the fight against malaria for more equitable world

every 25th of APRIL the world observe malaria day and globally 3.3 billion people in over 106 countries are at a risk of malaria. back in 2012 malaria caused an estimate half million deaths mostly in africa. the disease is mostly caused by mosquito bites and one of the most common symptoms is fever with shaking chills , lack of appetite .as we come together to fight against malaria my community is visiting homes that live under a dollar a day to provide treated mosquito nets to all children below the age of 10,pregnant women this group according to unicef are at a risk of getting malaria and as malaria being the 3rd largest killer .since 2016 unicef stated that nearly 1000 young lives were lost to malaria thats why they drum up support to global immunization to try save lives.even though malaria vaccination has not been received well by people who have little knowledge about the beauty getting vaccinating most people deny vaccination for religious fears , mythology and other misinformation. thats were small community groups come together to form a campaign with the help of local government to reach out to everyone in the community with any tool possible to make sure the message in passed across . i like the door to door malaria campaign it helps me get the opportunity to interact with people one on one and it help you learn alot about what people in the community think about the malaria vaccination . malaria has become a global thing this days first world countries have reported infections .CDC just released statement about over 2000 americans each year have gotten malaria something that was never hear off this tell you how serious this disease is , the international community have always come together to work hand in hand with local partners to drive down malaria terrible burden . in one of my visit to my community i meet this young woman she tell me she is 20yo and has lost her kids to malaria i had to hug her so tight because i can imagine the pain of loosing a child . she continue to say how she got malaria while pregnant with her current she is thankful to have recovered from this disease that almost robbed her her baby she tell me during her clinic visit she was taught about the need of sleeping under the treated net and the need of malaria vaccination she is now a vocalist in her community teaching other women who are still on denial the need of sleeping under the treated nets .with her personal experience she share the pain of taking things for granted like many women do . i'm so proud of her always for standing out to help other women save their lives .malaria can be so challenging especially to people living in slum areas mosquito lava breed on open sewareges that are easy found in such places, the large population live in make shift house that are so easily accessed by mosquito . and with the current rainy season they are at a bigger risk of suffering from malaria and other waterbon sickness that might come along . imagine not having a better warm house to live in , no food then you get malaria , you cant afford medication, you end up dead .i want my community safe fro malaria community groups to hold events that help reach out to ever household to get a treated net , with the help of this groups they register every homes then the net distribution is made to near by churches , school , village chief the event always turn out successful because of team work . during that even ilearn that people like food yes we alllike food , food is the gate pass of our soul , so this nets must go together with food to drive the message to everyone we targeting with the vaccination and nets ,ok we not bribing them but you know how hard is irritating to deal with human sometimes right , when plan' A' don't work we try plan ;B ' as we fight to eradicate malaria this year i dedicate my campaign to all the children ,young women who have lost their lives to malaria because of misinformation and lack of affordable medication because of situations that would have been avoided by proper planning i also dedicate this day to all refugees all over the world who go through hard life experience escaping war or suffering then end up getting bitten by mosquito and because they cant get proper malaria treatment they end up getting very sick and even loose their lives on the process. life is so precious it need to be well taken care off so as we celebrate this day to accelerate the fight against malaria for a more equitable world i will continue enlighten my community the need of sleeping under the treated net , the need of getting malaria vaccination that is always given to everyone in need at a fee sometimes i wish the government would made it free somany people can get vaccinated ,not everyone can afford the cash to get vaccination millions will choose to go without and that will put them at arise of getting malaria infection that will lead to their premature death things that can be prevented if we properly plan as for now i will continue encouraging more people to drain their stagnant water so the mosquito larvae would suffocate to death , sleep under the net try to get true information from correct sources not to assume things that might turn fetal or cause mass death in a community.i will continue advocating for all pregnant women to always take good care of themselves because they are prone to mosquito bite they should not assume things for the sake of their unborn children . sleeping under the treated net is the way to life always
