World Pulse and IWD in Chennai

On March 9, 2019, we worked with a team of teachers at a school here called Pudhiyador. We worked on gender equality. In our workshop with them, we addressed themes of sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender equality, and using the right language while working with their students. We also talked about writing and telling one's story, and I introduced them to World Pulse. This workshop was particularly enlightening because we not only got to work with the teachers themselves, but by extension, with their students, too, for the teachers opened up to share about their students' questions, doubts, behaviours, and anecdotes.
