World Pulse Spirit Award 2021 Nominations: Bashudha Modak

She's a mum, a fierce one who is ready to turn the world up side down and slay all the dragons in her precious daughter's path.
Yet, she understands how difficult the fight can be.
That notwithstanding, she has proven to be there for us (me) especially.

I have seen her share opportunities geared towards uplifting other sisters. I have seen how she's expertly navigated the streets of technology to continue to be a voice for the vulnerable and persons with disability.

I have also been at the receiving end of this largesse of her fierce mother heart. She has made herself a pro-bono transcriber for me on any webinar out of World Pulse we both attend. She automatically starts transcribes when she sees me on. That to me is an example of emboldening the World Pulse Spirit because, it is like the ripple effects of inclusion learnt on World Pulse are ingrained into her subconsciouness which automatically tunes in when need be.

Her readiness to support any of us sisters has been very endearing. I remembered when I needed someone to urgently add subtitles to a sign language video I made, despite having a full program and challenges with network, she still came through for me.

She ensures her girls thrive, thereby empowering the future generation of young women growing up. She's a go-getter who doesn't believe in going alone but wants to share the journey with as many sisters as possible. For this reasons and more, I would like to nominate her for the spirit awards.
