YOU CAN DO MORE

I have observed within the area I come from and my experience growing up that most children do not actually have a definite mental picture of who they want to become.

Life is lived just the way it comes with parents pressure on academic performance without getting to help the children discover who they really are and the fact that success can be more than distinctions in all academic courses. At the end of the day, we end up focusing on our books and having done well in them, graduate from school and come roaming the streets of the country in search of jobs that often times is a mirage.

A lot of us are victims of these, I remember telling my dad as a student I want to learn a skill and he hushed me saying "you will loose interest in school" whereas it would have given me an edge. Based on this I came up with a club I called "DARE TO STRETCH ERUDITE FAMILY" we believe that children are dynamic and can be versatile and should not be restricted to a pattern. Especially that children can be groomed to pattern their lives and styles positively to who they want to become. Hence, letting them understand the true meaning of success and nurture same even in their tender minds. Thereby aspire greatness and also note when they have attained it. Moreover, Dare to Stretch let's them understand that they can do more than theey think.

I hope this will have great impact in the lives of the children and teens in my society so that they don't make the same mistake we made.
