Did you know World Pulse hosts virtual events every month? Whether you're new to World Pulse or a longtime member, we invite you to join us this August for three energizing gatherings! You’ll have the opportunity to connect, learn new skills, and lift each other up in real time.
Here’s what’s coming up this month:
Encourager Party
When: 14 August at 2 PM UTC
Where: Zoom – Register here
What better way to celebrate our vibrant community than by coming together to encourage one another live? This month’s Encourager Party will spotlight recent Featured Storytellers: the brilliant Amira Tarek and Sheryl. Don’t miss this uplifting space to meet community members and feel the World Pulse spirit live!
Tech4Good Thursday: Build Your Own Website
When: 21 August at 2 PM UTC
Where: Zoom – Register here
Have you always wanted to create your own website but felt stuck on where to start? This month’s Tech4Good Thursday is your moment! Join Keturah Shammah, a tech-savvy World Pulse member, as she walks us through how to build a website from scratch—no prior experience needed. Empower your voice and presence online with this accessible, hands-on learning session.
Training Tuesday: Two Powerful Paths to Empowerment
When: 26 August at 2 PM UTC
Where: Zoom – Register here
This month, we're trying something new! We'll run two Training Tuesdays in the same time slot — when you join the call, you’ll have the chance to choose between two parallel trainings, both designed to help you grow and thrive:
Training 1: Power Dynamics in Mentoring Relationships
Led by Aarati Rao of Wedu, this training is especially recommended for members in South and Southeast Asia. You’ll explore how to cultivate balanced, intentional mentoring relationships using Wedu’s Reflective Guide on Transformative Mentorship. Learn to navigate core values, cross-cultural dynamics, and power structures with confidence and clarity.
Training 2: Building Confidence Through Self-Advocacy
Led by World Pulse’s own Kristine Yakhama, this session focuses on self-advocacy as a powerful tool for change. You’ll gain practical skills in assertive communication, handling objections, and showing up with confidence in your personal and professional spaces. Expect a boost of empowerment and tangible takeaways!
Recordings of both sessions will be available afterward, so no matter which live session you choose, you won't miss out.
Will we see you there?
Drop a comment and let us know which events you'll be joining. And don't forget to tag a World Pulse connection and invite her to join you. It's a great way to make connections in real time.
And as always, if you would like ASL interpretation, please email kirthi@worldpulse.org one week in advance of the event you wish to attend.
