Zero percent election win for women in Nigerian state



If you google Edo State women, you are likely to find stories of women who are forced or lured to go to Italy to engage in Commercial Sex Work but few care to talk about the disappointing situation for women in the political space. In February this year an election was held to elect state and federal representatives in the state and national assembly. Unfortunately, the women of Edo State recorded zero victory. I decided in collaboration with Code for Nigeria , an NGO that supports Female Journalists to find out more.
